A PLACE TO MEET

Gollwitz Manor House is a place for young people from all over the world to meet. In Gollwitz Manor House they live together, learn from one another and hopefully become friends. Our aim is to support understanding and acceptance between people of different nationalities, religions and cultures in order to confront anti-semitism and xenophobia.

GREETINGS FROM OUR PATRON

DR. NORBERT LAMMERT

President of the German Federal Parliament

The Gollwitz Manor House Trust is a private initiative and is a response to anti-semitic tendencies within society. It places emphasis on education and reconciliation. Once the renovation work on the manor house has been completed, it will serve as a meeting place for Jewish and non-Jewish young people from Europe, Israel and the United States and as a place for the exchange of experiences and open discussion. This is based on the simple and correct observation that personal contact can help to reduce antagonism and create trust. Institutions like the Gollwitz Manor House Trust play a valuable role in familiarising young people with German history. I offer the Gollwitz Manor House Trust my best wishes.
Norbert Lammert
